The premium prawn noodles here are definitely worth trying! The soup is exceptionally flavorful, and the prawns are fresh. I'll definitely come back for more! I recommend pairing it with the wu xiang (ngoh hiang) from the stall next to it when you visit.

Chanced upon this place while exploring hood. As it was near their closing time, we managed to get the last bowl of prawn noodles which costs $8 and also their iced barley. Before we finish our bowl of noodles they started washing the kopitiam and cleaning it. I supposed they could have waited a bit for us to finish first...anyway we did not want to hold them back and decided to finish our noodles. Food wise I would say prawns r nice but the soup is a little too dilute for me. I later discovered that I was quite thirsty so I am not sure if it is cos they have added msg or salt? Anyway the environment is quite quaint and nice with a nice outdoor that is breezy:) perhaps we went at the wrong time when they were closing. Still overall a nice experience to visit a rectro place for us. Give it a try if you are in the hood:)

Eaten at this stall many times in the past and even when they were at the original place at Jalan Sultan. The prawn noodle is as good as I remember them from the original place. Five pieces of midium size half prawn with noodles and bean sprout. The prawn cracker at this place is really yummy. The chilli and sweet pink sauce enhances the flavour of the various types of prawn crackers. The only issue I have is that the cuttle fish is quite chewy and not tender enough. Service staff are friendly and efficient. Parking is now much easier at the multi storey carpark.

Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee, Jalan Ayer: One of my go-to spots for prawn noodles and it’s constantly full pf people. $6 fetches you the most basic bowl with these beautifully slivered shrimps sitting atop noodles. I award points for presentation but taste isn’t the best really. When you get the dry version, it’s pretty bland. Soup is also not as rich as some other good prawn noodle renowned spots but it still cuts a class above the rest of the prawn noodles. Prawn noodles and Wu Xiang make strange bedfellows but you load up on it whenever you come here. Be sure to bring cash as they’re not about to jump on the digital payment bandwagon and the nearest ATM is a 10 walk into the HDB wilderness. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Amazing prawn mee broth with generous servings, no queue and a friendly boss. The broth is thick and flavourful, and prawn halves were sweet. There’s table service available too, which is really nice. It’s cash only, and is a little on the high side at $6 a bowl, but I think it’s well worth it.

I ordered M size dry prawn with pork ribs with noodle and beehoon. It was $8. The prawn and pork ribs tastes really clean, but the prawn flesh was a bit 'dry'. The pork rib on the other hand is very tender; the soft bones was soft enough to eat. The chili sauce was really good - it is peppery and packs a spicy punch. There's quite a lot of prawns and pork ribs in one serving, although I think there could have been more noodles. The rich broth is yummy, not too salty and best of all it is refillable. Service was exceptionally speedy - after I paid my order, my bowl of prawn mee was served within 30 seconds to my table. The whole shop is filled with fans so it is very windy even in the heat.

Spacious, Airy, Good Service, Reasonable Prices, Yummilicious Food ! Would suggest you go with family and friends so that you can order more Ngoh Hiang fritters to share them out. Can you imagine one bite of cripsy Ngoh Hiang with one mouthful of prawn mee and one greedy slurp of the flavourful prawn soup ? How Heavenly Is That ? 💯
